Individuals
Individual Psychotherapy is an interpersonal, relational intervention with a trained psychotherapist to aid you in coping with the problems of living. Benefits include an increasing sense of well-being and reduced symptoms of discomfort. Research tells us that the most important part of therapy is the relationship that the client has with the therapist. It is vital to find the right match for your personality and your needs. Please contact Sarah Shore for an initial consultation. She is available to provide psychotherapeutic services and has a rich network of referrals should we determine another therapist would best meet your needs.
Couples
Couples Psychotherapy is beneficial in situations where couples would like to feel closer to each other, or develop skills for managing their lives together, and enriching their relationship with each other. Couples therapy is most beneficial when it is started as a proactive step in keeping your relationship on track. Couples therapy can be beneficial after the relationship has developed significant problems. In this situation, both parties must make an honest and open commitment to work toward an improved and more satisfying relationship.
Groups
Group Psychotherapy can often be the most beneficial way for clients to improve functioning and make meaningful changes in thinking and emotional reactions. In a group situation, clients are able to see themselves—both the positive and negative aspects—in others. Sarah Shore specializes in group psychotherapy. It is an option that many clients do not consider at first, for several reasons. However, in our experience, it is an effective and powerful modality for creating improvement and change.
